Went to the Raffles City in Beijing with my roomie! We ate lots and lots at the Food Market at the basement level haha. Auntie Anne's pretzel, Takopachi balls, Nasi Lemak... and before that we had 草莓冰糖葫芦 ^^ I bought a lot of stuff that day too. One purple t-shirt, one colourful snakeskin clutch/tote, and one pair of absolutely SUMMERY gold hoops which each had a monkey and a palm tree swinging from them! They are so special, I fell in love with them when I first saw them HAHA. Loves!

And how could I forget about the seven bottles of Bacardi Breezer that I bought at the supermarket there??? They are now standing neatly on my table, next to my laptop, in a dazzling pretty array of colours: PEACH, LIME, ORANGE and CRANBERRY!

We returned to 北大 and after putting down my purchases, I showed up at my qingren's door with one Bacardi bottle in each hand ala Samantha in Sex and the City (my absolute FAV movie!) and we had a good chill-out session in her room. Good times!

My roomie and I got bored after 韩国经济 so we chionged off to the nearby shopping district! She had to leave early for lessons though, so I spent one hour shopping at H & M myself HAHA. And then I met my 韩国经济 teacher there! Gosh. I totally didn't notice her at first, until she patted on my shoulder! What a surprise! Haha.

And I scored my very first purchase at H & M :) A colourful plaid shirt which had a really nice cut and fit ^^ I'm so going to wear it for CNY!

Went with the year one beida undergrads to a Qipao tailor! The whole group included yijun, yuanzhi, charmaine, guanhui, my roomie and I. Guanhui was the only guy there LOL. He's our 好姐妹！XD

Yijun was the one who wanted to make the Qipao cos she's flying back for her boyfriend's comms ball in end dec. Super sweet la :) We were all giving our opinions as she modeled one Qipao after another to choose the design she wanted. In the end she settled for a cream-gold elegant Qipao which we all had unanimously agreed on =D

And after that... we girls had fun trying on the other Qipaos in the shop!!! In the end we took a group photo of all of us dressed in our Qipaos. Super fun and bimbotic :)

We had a zi char dinner at a nearby restaurant... then char, yuanzhi, my roomie and I decided that we didn't have enough fun yet. While the rest of them headed back to school, we went for shopping and dessert near school haha. And I bought a pair of white and gold Disney sneakers! For 99rmb MUAHAHA! After that, we had ice-cream puffs at Beard Papa to mark the end of a very nice day =D

Meat and I went to 未名湖 to meet him LOL. It felt really good to meet up with a good friend overseas :) We didn't stay for long because he had to attend a talk soon after, but it was okay, because on

My qingren, meat and I brought him and 2 of his friends to 南罗鼓巷 for dinner and drinks at night!

We went to a Taiwanese restaurant after stopping by a Churros shop to have churros dipped in chocolate (YUM!), then meat bought nutella waffles, and we finally settled down at a bar to have some much-needed DRINKS.

We made the right choice of a bar for two reasons:

1) They were showing Sex and the City!!!

2) We saw 翁清海! With a non-celeb woman! TOTALLY 劲爆 TO THE MAX. HAHA!

Poor thing. He probably thought it was safe to date in a foreign country, in some random bar located at some random street. It was REALLY SUAY for him to bump into a bunch of little Singaporean 小混混s who totally spoiled the whole date for him. LOL. It was really obvious from the way we were talking and laughing that we were Singaporeans la. According to meat, he kept staring at us from the moment we entered the bar hahaha!

5 minutes after the 翁清海 discovery we adjourned to the toilet, excitedly discussing all the way. When we came back, they had already 撤！Super fast la. LOL!

Being typical kaypoh Singaporeans we asked the waitress if she had noticed him, telling her that he was a Sg celebrity. She replied that they had apparently been sitting there for quite long already, so their evacuation was probably not because of us (as if! HAHA) and no, she didn't know that he was an actor, but she thought he was quite handsome! Haha!

After the excitement died down our cocktails arrived. Meat and I drank the same thing, some cocktail named 城之春光 which was actually quite potent and caused meat to get red and me to get high after that haha. And we started playing Jenga and Pick Up Sticks which was quite fun because everyone was in a partially inebriated state by then. Lots of screaming ensued when the Jenga tower collapsed everytime. LOL.

We finally cabbed back at around 12midnight. What an exciting night out! HAHA!

Met up with liow liow again, the night before he flew back to Singapore via Shanghai. This time round, it was just the 4 of us - qingren, meat, him and I :)

We went to a Japanese restaurant for their ala carte buffet. The food was fantastic! We ordered round after round haha. The other three were sashimi fans and they gobbled up everything they ordered - which was 10 portions of tuna, salmon, octopus and clam EACH. *Applause* Well, I did help them with the octopus :D

But the main point wasn't the food... it was the great time we all had that night, just catching up, filling one another in about the recent happenings in our lives, reminiscing about the good old days, teasing one another... there was plenty of laughter and friendship all around. <3 Which just feels so good especially when you're away from home :D I felt really happy the whole night. Like I was glowing and radiating happiness and warmth. Just as well, because it's -13 deg celsius outside as I'm typing this =P

And time flies by when you're having a good time, 3 hours into our dinner, we realised with a start that it was already 10pm. So we took a cab back to school, dropping liow liow at his hotel on the way back. As always, felt abit 依依不舍, like that time when honeystar (georgia) came too... but I'll be back in Singapore very soon too! =D

Pizza buffet! With my roomie at a restaurant just opposite our school haha. Yes, having 2 buffet dinners in 2 consecutive days is bound to make me fat... but I'll justify that by saying that I need more insulation for the FREEZING weather now. Haha.

The pizza buffet was good, I think it's because I've haven't had western food (apart from Mac's) for a looong time already. My roomie and I nua-ed at the restaurant for 2 and a half hours, slowly eating our food, listening to their nice music selection and chatting away haha. It was certainly a good way to waste time! :)

Yesterday, meat, my roomie and I went to the H & M near our school to shop AGAIN! WHEE!

But my roomie had to leave for lessons early, so the two of us continued our retail therapy haha!

My shopping loot at H & M were 2 basic tees, one lavender and one black, and one hot pink bandage skirt <3

Meat bought a really nice and smart blazer for 199rmb... It was a very good buy! Haha.

We decided to take a dinner break and headed to Saizeriya! I was initially quite surprised to see it in Beijing haha. The food there was REALLY CHEAP. And good!

I had pork cutlet with melted cheese and there were broccoli, sweet corn bits and mashed potato on the side. 18 rmb only! Meat and I shared a hot plate sausages and potato wedges for 12 rmb. For dessert, we each had a 10 rmb set of brownies and vanilla ice cream. Crazily cheap! And all the dishes weren't bad at all =D

Round 2 of shopping ensued at another shop called Cache-cache. I scored a very pretty, flouncy black skirt which had a bit of subtle shine!!! Loves! And meat chose a funky pair of paint-splattered black pants which was really cool and 有性格, she managed to carry it off well. Haha!

Retail therapy ROCKS! XD More happy days coming up soon! ^^
